Organization, maintenance, and daily operations of the Welding and Mechanical labs including engineering technology laboratories and the Support Center.
This position is part time with a maximum of 29 hours possible weekly. Hours may vary based upon enrollment, and College operating schedule.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all tool cribs, lab set-up and tear-down for classes for all labs and instructors; daily coordination with the department chair(s) and coordinator(s). Responsible for mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting of welding and mechanical engineering and related equipment. Management of student workers is a possibility. Continuous improvement capability in lab setup, operation, and layout is desired. This position is for our Barberton Satellite and the support of other welding locations. Working hours based on class and instructor needs.
Education, Experience and Licensure/Certification Requirements
AWS Welding certification required.
High school diploma is required.
Minimum of two years' experience in welding or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required
Ability to troubleshoot problems within the welding, mechanical environment
Knowledge and skills of mechanical and electrical functionalities.
