Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Estimator Patrick Cottrell, the Estimator's mission is to be the expert for Haynes Group's clients by determining the precise costs to complete our Hotel and Hospitality projects safely and on-time, and producing fair, competitive, and timely pricing for our customers' proposals.

Responsibilities and Duties

•Establish strong personal connections with Haynes Group's clients to understand their specific project goals, timelines, and budgets, and provide them with value-engineered options and a world-class service experience

•Evaluate thoroughly all bid specifications and drawings to capture project details for pricing while anticipating and identifying potential missing scope items

•Communicate continuously and nurture relationships with vendors, architects, and subcontractors to produce accurate quotes for project materials, equipment and resources

•Collaborate closely with Haynes Group Business Development, Finance, and Project Management teammates to help close new business and produce accurate bids and budgets to meet client deadlines

•Communicate bid package, RFI's, and necessary clarifications to subcontractors to ensure proper coverage for potential projects, and perform comprehensive analysis and scoping of assigned trades

•Award projects to the most qualified and capable vendors by negotiating subcontracts, gaining commitment of strict adherence to project schedules, and identifying and procuring long-lead items

•Coordinate and attend site walk throughs with customers and vendors at project sites to gather details and compile data to complete in-house takeoffs and estimate all costs according to specifications

. Requirements:


•A minimum of five years Estimating experience is required; Bachelor's degree a plus

•Demonstrated success in Estimating Hotel and Hospitality projects in excess of $5MM

•Possesses a strong understanding of Hotel and Hospitality construction process and financials

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, Building Connected, Sage, and other industry-related applications

•Outstanding interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
