The Commercial, Civil, and Strategic Space Department is seeking a Testbed Lead for a prime-level government satellite program. In this role, the System Test Lead will lead the development of test platforms comprised of engineering development unit (EDU) and/or flight-qualified hardware artifacts and flight software. The position requires a strong background in integration and test activities, including verification and validation testing of interface requirements.

The Testbed Lead responsibilities include:

* Develop test strategies, plans, and requirements
* Determine support equipment requirements and test configurations
* Provide overall technical definition of test program activities, budgets, and schedules
* Communicate test results, impacts, and recovery plans to senior management, customer test representatives, and engineering teams
* Lead system engineering reviews, including test readiness reviews
* Lead engineering analysis of test results and resolve anomalies, including test floor involvement

Required Skills:

* 10+ years prior relevant experience
* Experience architecting, implementing, and sustaining a system test bed including:

- Hardware- and software-in-the-loop

- Generation of test scripts

* Experience supporting assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) for a satellite system, including identifying necessary test equipment
* Experience with verification and validation of interface requirements
* Demonstrated experience interfacing with subcontractors
* Experience with a dynamic collaborative environment including multi-functional and cross-site teams
* Demonstrated strong organization, coordination, planning, and team building skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus
* Ability to build strong relationships with program internal and external customers
* Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines
* Demonstrated desire to successfully pursue new challenges, improve and broaden technical skills, seek greater responsibilities, and increase individual value to the organization
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within one year of hire

Desired Skills:

* Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
* Experience with SEIT tools such as STK, MATLAB, C++, and Python
* Experience with VIS-IR Detector Imaging
* Experience working with government customers
* Prior Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) or line engineering management experience
* Knowledge of US Export/Import law in regards to space technologies

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline

Desired Education:

Master's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain DoD Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date
