Title: Technical Operations/Scientist

Location: West Point, PA

Contract: 12 Months


The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Biomanufacturing (Cell culture, fermentation, downstream processing, formulation, vial/syringe filling) background (Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, , Virology, etc.)
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn quickly, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • Experience with GMP documentation practices and a strong understanding of GMP practices in the instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Technical writing expertise
  • Experience with data analysis, architecture and/or analytics Basic Minimum Qualifications :
  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, or related science
  • 1+ years in process development laboratory and or manufacturing experience in biotech/pharmaceutical company
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship


Technical Operations/Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Participate in the development and testing of solutions for data acquisition and analytics activities to support commercial biomanufacturing (includes testing/verification of new digital capabilities, data mapping)
  • Perform data monitoring and trending
  • Investigate manufacturing deviations to determine root cause and ensure Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) are implemented
  • Perform project manager role or team member role for projects within Global Technical Operations - GBSO that involve data management, knowledge management or manufacturing technology
  • Work with the Global Technical Operations Technical Learning Lead to support subject matter expert teams in the creation of technical learning videos via project management, basic video editing and uploading to the learning platform
  • * Provide filing/submission support by source documentation mapping and data audits
  • Author reports/ technical documents as needed
  • Execute manufacturing process change controls as part of product lifecycle
