We have an immediate need for a Supply Chain Manager to join AML Supply Chain Logistic Operations team. This is an outstanding opportunity to seek a variety of challenges and responsibilities in support to our manufacturing facility at Amgen Manufacturing Limited (AML) in Juncos, Puerto Rico.

The Department and Role

The AML Supply Chain Logistic Operations team plays a vital in managing business processes, inbound and outbound scheduling and capacity, warehouse utilization management and data accuracy programs for AML Supply Chain.

Specific Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Under minimal supervision performs work Process owner and Logistic planning demand and supply requirements work.
  • Develop multiple scenarios to assist in driving short/mid and long-range plans and capacity analysis.
  • Maintain excellent communication lines with all sources of demand.
  • Use credibility, Logistic planning knowledge, and expertise to influence demand process as appropriate.
  • Track and analyze monthly performance metrics and reports to assist our Business Process sources with improving the quality of their outputs.
  • Understand how Logistic planning fits in Amgen/Logistics' business process to provide development opportunities and continuous process improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and training to other Planners as to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
  • Represent Logistic planning in cross-functional teams and projects at the direction of Logistic planning management.
  • Managed and Implement Process Improvements and enhancements using Quality Systems such as SOP's, CAPA's, CC's and Operational Excellence tools
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Planning, data analytic and all Supply Chain Operational areas to ensure daily warehouse operations are well coordinated between each function.
  • Lead multi-departmental, cross-functional, multi-site projects of small to moderate size.
  • May monitor work processes to ensure compliance and successful completion of metric targets
  • May review department's standard operation procedures, training materials, validation documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Comply with safety guidelines, cGMPs and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain training proficiency
  • Troubleshoot, solve problems and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Initiate and/or implement changes in controlled documents.
  • Participate in area investigations, audits, initiatives and projects that may be departmental or organizational in scope.
  • May represent the department/organization on various teams.
  • Contributes to work group/team by ensuring the quality of the tasks/services provided by self


Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree & 2 years of Science, Engineering, Business Planning, Manufacturing or Supply Chain experience

OR

Bachelor's degree & 4 years of Science, Engineering, Business Planning, Manufacturing or Supply Chain experience

Beyond that, additional preferred qualifications are:
  • Educational background in Business Administration, Science or Engineering
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Rapid Response, SAP, Tableau, Smartsheet and/or Microsoft Office
  • Strong ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of GMP regulations and GDP requirement.
  • Project Management, Process Owner, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Planning and/or Scheduling previous experience
  • Operational Excellence experience or training
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
