Facebook is currently searching for a professional to work in Finance as a part of the team that is responsible for strategic sourcing for events across Facebook's global organization. Duties include management of our key event vendors, agreement negotiations, professional services, and indirect purchases. This person will work closely with Facebook Event teams across the organization meeting their fast-paced needs in relation to strategic financial strategies, compliance, risk, and business effeciencies.

  • Collaborate on building, executing, managing, and maintaining strategies for the Event sourcing category
  • Support the building and maintenance of the Event Preferred Suppliers program and supplier database to influence the business and channel spend appropriately
  • Develop and nurture strong collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders on the Events teams to strategically influence the business and manage spend
  • Manage complex sourcing projects and lead contract negotiations that optimize value to the company
  • Identify and then build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers
  • Identify and report key performance metrics to measure supplier success and drive continuous improvement
  • Serve as a Event Sourcing SME to key stakeholders by identifying their critical business requirements and providing appropriate recommendations and services to meet/exceed their needs and expectations
  • Understand the Legal process and prepare sourcing documents, contracts, statements of work and related procurement documents, as well as act as guide for key stakeholders
  • Understand all compliance requirements and provide regular communication and training to stakeholders on compliance processes and systems
  • Perform the supplier management function in collaboration with the business
  • Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, such as Accounting, Event Operations, Business Affairs, FP&A, and Legal
  • Analyze spend data, internal requirements, and external supply markets to develop strategic sourcing strategies and plans aligned with the business goals
  • Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed


  • 7+ years of experience in Event Management, Production and/or Operations, and/or sourcing and procurement services for Marketing and Events
  • Conceptual experience coupled with a proven track record of implementing strategic and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management
  • Influencing skills and change management experience with the experience to successfully managing complex and multiple priorities
  • Effective negotiator - proven track record in fact-based negotiations or equivalent contract analysis experience
  • Experience in handling a variety of event-related agreements including but not limited to technical, internal, B2B, B2C, experiential marketing events, third party events, and more
  • Demonstrated experience exceeding the demands of various internal stakeholders across multiple business units and regions
  • Professional presence, presentation and engagement experience
  • Experience thinking creatively to solve business challenges
  • Highly motivated and experience thinking clearly under pressure
  • Experience thinking strategically and operationally/tactically
  • Experience driving change and improving end-to-end processes
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and Google Business Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive)
  • Experience taking large quantities of data, performing analysis and making succinct recommendations on sourcing opportunities
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Experience to quickly and efficiently work global contract documents through execution ensuring risks are mitigated and high value is procured
  • Experience flourishing in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Global experience preferred
