This position is located in Dulles, VA. The Chief Architect will design and develop the system architecture, define key capabilities and performance, and perform strategic technical planning for a Satellite Product Line.Responsibilities:
Stay abreast of industry technology and trends with an eye towards those of benefit to the Product Line
Maintain close relationships with other technology developments within Northrop Grumman
Manage Technical Roadmaps for Nimbus, and coordinate them with roadmaps from other programs
Coordinate with Strategy Directors at the Business Unit, Division, and Sector levels on Technology planning, including Independent and Contracted Research and Development (IRAD/CRAD) planning and oversight
Work on problem solving and failure investigations of technical issues as needed
Provide technical direction on contract changes and Statement of Work negotiations
Drive technical excellence

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.#novaspaceBasic Qualifications:
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret level clearance and the ability to obtain SCI level access.
Demonstrated team leadership skills - leader of significant technical projects or investigations and management of multiple program tasks to schedule and budget experience with the proposal process
Demonstrated experience in being a spokesperson o internal and external customers
A working knowledge of the design and production of satellites and their components
Demonstrated experience in generating technical solutions
Demonstrated experience with problem solving, problem investigation teams and critical decision making skills
Strong understanding of engineering processes and execution across a program life cycle
Strong verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 14 years of relevant work experience or 12 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering leadership experience in satellite development, qualification, and production cycles
Proposal technical volume lead experience

Salary Range: 155584 - 233376

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
