Merrimack, New Hampshire HEPCO, Inc.
HEPCO, Inc., is looking for a Senior Security Specialist to join the team as a contractor for one of our most important defense clients in Merrimack, NH. This position requires an active secret clearance.

Position Description:

Ensure compliance with U.S. Government directives, regulations and requirements as well as corporate/business unit directives and customer directed requirements.
Along with the FSO, manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Ensuring National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) compliance within the facility.
Preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and contractually obligated requirements to ensure the protection of classified and Company Protected Information.
Assist with International requirements to include: Government to Government shipments, Foreign Visitor requirements, and Export compliance.
Conducts ongoing reviews of all security policies, programs and practices, external and internal, to keep the company and its personnel aware of current procedures as well as new policies which may impact program objectives.
Responsible for reviewing, writing and ensuring compliance of collateral DD254s.
Interprets policy, develops and implements security plans and procedures.
Maintain liaison with all levels of government and corporate entities, domestic and international, in the pursuit of security objectives.
Conducts ongoing reviews of all security policies, programs and practices, external and internal, to keep the company and its personnel aware of current procedures as well as new policies which may impact program objectives.
Provide and implement ideas and initiative to ensure a robust security education and awareness program.
Prepares and conducts Program Security Awareness Briefings and provides security guidance to company personnel.
Conducts investigations of non-compliance issues and reviews security violations.
Develops security plans, goals and objectives to comply with existing directives and future requirements.
Assists with Security reviews to include: Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) visits, formal self-inspections, and Staff Assistance Visits.
Ensures compliance with government directed requirements for Closed areas, to include construction requirements are met.
Briefs management and program staff on security issues, directives originated by government and commercial entities, and significant security incidents or violations impacting individual programs or overall security posture.
Represents the company with respect to security matters at customer meetings as well as at local or national security group meetings.
May train subordinates to a level of awareness and expertise so they may assume essential functions if needed. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.
Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents using various office tools (i.e. MS Office, JPAS, SIMS and ISFD).

Experience Required:

Eight or more years of related security experience and demonstrated leadership ability. Should be conversant and have had experience with most of the following areas:

Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Department of Defense (DoD) security communities
Special Access Programs (SAP) security programs
communications security (COMSEC) and export security issues.

Education Required: Bachelor's and 8+ year(s) related experience working within industrial security field.
