Senior Project Manager for Asset Management Middle Office Technology (contract to hire)

Summary

Manage Asset Management Middle Office Technology projects, with the primary focus on managing account launch related projects. The role is responsible for collaborating across business and IT leaders to understand business and functional requirements, developing realization plans and IT/process artifacts and executing the plan in alignment with established architecture and processes. The role is also required to determining the budget needs for the project, then deliver and manage to assigned budget.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be the Middle Office Technology lead for account launch activities (new launches, mergers, liquidations, related changes)
  • Monitor pipeline to get advanced knowledge of up-coming changes
  • Understand scope of each launch/merger
  • Engage stakeholders (e.g. Middle Office Operations, Application Support Teams, Technology Teams)
  • Conduct launch team meetings, Monitor deliverables including user acceptance testing, manage deployment run book
  • Maintain repository for tools (data flows, spreadsheets) to support subsequent launch activity,
  • Improve/mature the process
  • Prepare stakeholder updates, Obtain "go live" sign off from stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • 7-10 Years of IT Project Management experience in the Financial Services industry with 3-5 years of Asset management Middle Office technology experience
  • 2-3 Years of Business Analyst experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Proficient in Jira, software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Investment Accounting, Investment Performance and Data Management
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with Eagle PACE Application stack
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and BI reporting concepts, working knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be detailed oriented and extremely organized
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • CFA or CIPM certifications is plus
