Senior Product Manager, Emerging MarketsWork Mode: HybridLocation:Kohler, WI or Chicago, ILOpportunityThe Senior Product Manager, Emerging Markets will be responsible for category growth & vitality for all Emerging markets. They will also be responsible for conducting comprehensive and detailed marketing analysis for the assigned product lines (Toilets, Bidets, Toilet Seats, Lavatories, etc.) and persuasively making recommendations for core category portfolios across markets, based on results. Analysis will include developing and compiling layers of in-depth information and statistics on market / customer / competitor / financial performance, and providing ongoing tracking of such information to support management of product lines. The ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to be the marketing lead for NPD and work closely with the program manager on all projects. They also mustdemonstrate ability to foster communications between various Emerging markets and create synergies across regions.Should be able to build strong connections with engineering , manufacturing , ID, legal and local marketing teams to be able to create a strong impact on the category business for the EMs.Should be working closely with global category teams to be aware of global strategy & projects and bring that information to the market. Specific ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage core category portfolios for the emerging markets. Understand each markets strat plan and each category's global strategy to drive sound product and market strategy. Maintain continuous awareness of competitive products, KOHLER global portfolio, pricing, performance, and market share including trends in product design, architecture, interiors, living environments, etc. for the purpose of recommending product continuance or modifications, market potential, etc.Maintain continuous contact with design groups, regional teams, global engineering, and all other internal and external sources which can contribute to the development of new product ideas to satisfy market needs, drive business growth, and increased profit.Keep a tab on discontinuations and new product launches globally to proactively fine tune the lineups.Act fast on Regulation/ compliance updates to ensure the portfolio is updated and compliant for the respective markets. Call out critical portfolio gaps and create project scopes for kick off. Develop business cases for each project to be able to prioritse and focus on hi impact ones with greater urgency.Drive NPD process with rigor to ensure fast project deliveries.Be the marketing Lead for NPD/CPD projects concerning EMs. Provide the larger business context to the core project teams to have better alignment to the strategy.Work with Program manger to bring in discipline of regular project updates and issue resolutions.Create project update reports for leadership and local teams.Identify opportunities for improvement in global processes for faster NPD/CPD/MOD that works for Emerging Markets. Skills/RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field required. MBA/MS preferred. Proficient with English language.3-4 years prior experience in Sales, Product Marketing, Channel Management, with min 1 year in Product Development. Demonstrated ability or track record of results.Must possess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail and accuracy and be a demonstrably creative thinker. Must have high sense of ownership & drive to move things forward.
