Bill.com is seeking a Senior Director of Brand Marketing. This role will be responsible for developing and executing our brand strategy as well as leading the evolution of the Bill.com visual identity and it's differentiation in the marketplace. This role will partner with key business leaders across the company to elevate and ensure we are delivering on our brand promise across every aspect of the business. This leader will inspire and guide a team of creatives, providing the direction they need to dream up and deliver outstanding work. This job is well suited for someone who enjoys evolving and creating a strikingly fresh and distinctive brand. If you have an ability to simplify, clarify and unify a variety of marketing campaigns and initiatives to establish consistent brand experience that drives meaningful business results, then this job is for you. Your expertise will help to guide decisions on the brand architecture including product nomenclature, positioning, strategic partner branding and brand implications stemming from M & A . You will establish and maintain brand guidelines and brand enablement principles to ensure cohesive and consistent brand experience across all channels and audiences. The position will report into the Vice President of Corporate Marketing.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and evolve the company brand strategy and architecture including providing guidelines to ensure consistent execution and governance
  • Translate the brand strategy into consistent, coherent marketing and advertising campaigns through collaboration with product marketing and demand generation teams
  • Drive marketing/advertising campaigns and programs that will increase awareness and inspire trust and preference for the Bill.com brand
  • Establish goals and critical metrics for our brand including campaigns that map to company objectives
  • Guide the evolution of Bill.com visual identity
  • Develop and grow a world-class in house creative team as well as cultivating a stable of the best external talent
  • Lead a team of talented and hard-working creatives, providing direction and encouragement while fostering accountability
  • Assess a wide array of data, ranging from customer feedback to surveys measuring brand recognition, engagement and efficacy of our investments
  • Provide leadership and influence across the company to evangelize and build our brand
What We're looking for:
  • 15+ years experience with a proven track record of world-class brand
  • Strong portfolio of brand strategy and creative work from concept to execution
  • Experience developing in-house brand agency and scaling teams to maintain a culturally relevant brand
  • Experience with evolving a brand and leading a change management process internally to create brand champions
  • Audacity and courage to develop and execute culturally impactful creative ideas and the ability to create a buzz and energy behind a brand that attracts and delights customers
  • Ability to keep a pulse on the cultural zeitgeist including, but not limited to social, brand, content relevance
  • Experience translating customer insights, user research and audience segmentation personas into brand strategy
  • Ability to create a work environment that is high performance, fun and encourages active decision-making and considered risk-taking
  • Executive presence and experience collaborating with and influencing senior leadership
  • Expertise building and executing global awareness campaigns (preferably in B2B or high-tech)
  • Experience guiding brand architecture decisions through M&A
  • Deep knowledge of all aspects of brand identity, including typography, photography, video, iconography, illustration, visual language and messaging
  • Team player with outstanding communication skills and a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic
