The Senior Director for Infrastructure Software Engineering leads multiple agile-based software development teams focusing on orchestration, automation provisioning, device activation and management, and complex network platforms at scale for Charter's network infrastructure. The Sr. Director oversees all activities of the staff, manages the departmental operating budget, and supports any budget development for software investment projects. Creates and maintains productive relationships with the internal and external stakeholders of the business in order to establish a productive and customer-focused culture.

Leadership/Supervisory Role: Manages software engineering and development overseeing resources, staffing, and the enhancement, growth and retention of a high performance teams. Also responsible for the management and execution of software product plans and delivery commitments. Leads the development teams with a focus on technologies inclusive of Python, JavaScript, Java, and C within modern code development and delivery practices including CE/CI/CD and design constructs for Docker and micro services, function as a service, and AWS Lambda.
In charge of the management of technical integrations and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, team-building and provides technical leadership for the design and implementation of features and software system enhancements.
Develops, implements, and maintains software engineering standards and policies. Act as mentor to key development personnel, directors and software architects and readying these key people for this position.

Strategy: Plays a key role in driving the strategy, architecture, and development of software solutions for Charter's network services infrastructure inclusive of core backbone, edge, and access network including DOCSIS, FTTP, NFV and distributed architectures. Responsible for developing and implementing software engineering strategies meant for the development of technological tool chains, processes, and policies required for current and future software development.
Organizes activities for the development, implementation, release, and maintenance of products for software development and sustaining practices. In this capacity, the Senior Director will also perform engineering design evaluations and ensure the completion of software projects within resource, budget, and scheduling restraints.
Collaboration: This is a highly collaborative role where you work closely with the leadership team in defining long-term organizational software strategies and roadmaps. In this collaboration, you will also coordinate and communicate development activities and priorities with the leadership team in order to ensure the successful completion of product objectives and realization of value to the business.

Knowledge: Self-direction, and taking initiative to explore, evangelize, and implement innovative technologies, and use case based proof of concepts in order to rapidly improve the network services infrastructure as well as the customer experience is expected. Provide support and leadership to fellow Directors and teams, sparking continuous evolution software life cycles.
Adherence to and follows up on business procedures, policies, and associated tools in order to develop processes that are more efficient and ensure conformity with Charter's the business's policies and overall objectives.
