Job Summary

The data analyst will lead medium/complex design, analysis, testing, deployment, and consulting project work. Provides functional expertise for the Pervasive Technology Institute's evaluation and assessment activities, including its involvement in the National Science Foundation-funded XSEDE project. Contributes to the growth and modification of university systems by acquiring and maintaining knowledge of new and emerging applications, tools, and architecture that may be used to support these functional operations. Leads the enhancement of mission-critical components or applications by interpreting client needs and applying these decisions to the design, analysis and testing of application functionality and their user interfaces. Develops and implements testing plans, designs modifications, and insures compliance with federal and university policies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an analytic or computer related field and two years of experience in business analysis working on complex problems and producing concrete, actionable solutions.

Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Problem solving skills. Willingness to work in a team-oriented, distributed environment. In-depth knowledge of best practices in program evaluation and assessment. Knowledge of best practices in, and experience with, creating online and paper data collection/survey instruments. Experience managing survey deployment and administration. Experience analyzing data sets of varied size and scope, working with both quantitative and qualitative data. Experience performing routine and in-depth statistical analysis. Effective project analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of experience.

Working Conditions / Demands

Requires the ability to operate computers and other related technical equipment. Required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
