Michael Page has teamed up with a Houston based Commercial Real Estate Service firm who is looking to bring on a motivated Senior Analyst to grow with the company. Our client is expecting 2 years minimum from this employee.
Our client leads the planning, development, and management of multifamily and municipal properties.
The Real Estate Analyst will assist the team with all aspects of the business including financial analysis, leasing, underwriting, and creating investment & marketing presentations. They will also work closely with their clients through the design, planning and development phase of their projects. Below is a short list of responsibilities, but is not all encompassing.
Contribute to the property budgeting process and the preparation of the company business plan
Manage 2-4 projects at one time [Texas based]
Assist other team members as necessary, including the preparation of various adhoc analyses (Excel based)
Engage and collaborate with internal and external contacts to support the project team in critical thinking and the development of recommendations.
Serve as the secondary client liason, communicating effectively to ensure appropriate follow through.Miscellaneous projects with other departments and corporate team members
Co-ordinate external appraisals. Compare and review results to make recommendations to senior managers
The successful analyst must have a strong desire to work within the real estate industry, will already possess significant financial modeling, due diligence, and data interpretation skills in accordance with real estate acquisitions, investments and developments. Alongside this the successful Analyst must possess:
Undergraduate degree required in finance or related field.
Excellent analytic skills and Excel modeling capabilities; exposure to ARGUS a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, internal and external professional communications
Understanding of private equity, investment risk and real estate investments.
Prefer candidates who have exposure to commercial real estate properties/assets
Highly motivated willing to put in the time.
