AS THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, GLOBAL TAX TECHNOLOGY, YOU WILL\:
Identifying opportunities to leverage, streamline, and better manage the access and flow of relevant data into the tax department with the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Business Intelligence (BI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and tax data hubs.
Operating as a proactive liaison between Tax department and various other stakeholders including IT, Finance, and external providers to represent Tax needs and keep up-to-date on current and future technology needs.
Monitoring continuous improvement opportunities.
Assisting in day-to-day maintenance, user support, and training in the use of tax software applications with an added emphasis on increasing efficient and effective use of the systems.
Willing to travel up to 10%.
The expectation of this role is to assist with initiatives to execute the Tax Technology Roadmap with input from the entire Tax group. This person will be responsible for identifying and leading implementation of Tax IT solutions to drive innovation and efficiency within the Tax department. The objective is to position the technology capabilities of Emerson Tax to embrace leading industry practices by reviewing and transforming processes, implementing new solutions, and utilizing automation.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS\:
Bachelors degree (Accounting, CIS, Statistics, or Finance), CPA preferred.
Masters in Accounting, Business Administration, etc. a plus.
4 years experience in public accounting, with tax project management experience a plus.
Strong knowledge of various direct and indirect income tax systems, OneSource, Oracle, Sharepoint, HFM, data analytics software, and RPA tools, technology implementation experience a plus.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Visio, Word, Powerpoint, VBA, etc.) and database experience a plus.
Excellent understanding of tax accounting and compliance.
Proficient analytical ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Continued Professional Education to maintain CPA or equivalent credential.
