This Biotech company is seeking a Research Associate. The ideal candidate is self-driven, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about learning/implementing new technologies that enhance the discovery process. This is an exciting opportunity to impact the next wave of drug development candidates to enter our pipeline. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of technical proficiency, and an ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross functional team format.
Job Duties include:
Hands on experience with plasmid preparation, cloning, vector construction, mutagenesis, PCR, DNA sequencing is required.
Extensive working knowledge of DNA sequence analysis programs (eg. Geneious, Sequencher) and related bioinformatics data-mining tools is expected.
Familiarity protein expression, purification (in both E. coli & mammalian cells) and characterization protocols would be a strong plus.
Must be highly motivated and enthusiastic team player, with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills are required.
Prior work experience in a biotech environment would be preferred.
