Compensation: $19.00 to $20.00 hourly

A leading developer and operator or Retail properties, is seeking a highly-motivated Property Assistant for a temporary to full-time opportunity! This is a great opportunity for someone with 2+ years of experience in Property Management with a can-do attitude looking to expand their career. Experience utilizing Yardi software is highly-preferred. Must be available to work in the office located in the Galleria area of Houston.

Support the Property Manager with management of tenant database.
Timely post and apply cash receipts.
Assist in collecting all billed rents in full and on time.
Create billing adjustments at the direction of the Property Manager.
Process all accounts payable in accordance with corporate procedures.
Maintains communications with tenants. Promotes effective business relationship to convey corporate operational policies.
Assist Property Manager to ensure compliance with established lease obligations including operating requirements, hours of operation and use clause.
Develops understanding of tenant lease and lease obligations.
Ensures compliance with center management operations procedures and applicable government regulations. Notifies Property Manager if corrective action is required.
Assists in the compilation and completion of periodic reports in a timely, detail oriented manner.
Executes approved projects in a timely manner - ensures scope accuracy and compliance.
Maintains positive relationship with local community.
Ability to provide interface and cohesiveness with the other departments that impact center management.

Job Requirements:
•A.A., B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
•2 years prior property management experience, Commercial/Retail desired.
•Yardi Property Management software experience preferred.
•Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
•Light bookkeeping background.
•Ability to communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, employees and managers regarding center operations or personnel issues to ensure the smooth operation of the center.
•Ability to analyze budget numbers for conformance to budgetary guidelines.
•Must be able to cope with shifting priorities, difficult situations and deadlines.
