Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Program Manager for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in San Francisco, CA. (Remote)
Responsibilities :
  • Act as Program Manager for the efforts associated with the implementation of a centralized survey collection tool for the Statistics business line
  • Leads daily program execution, including scope, time, and delivery criteria.
  • Champion defined project and program management processes and best practices in the program.
  • Coordinate between a cross-functional team of architects, business analysts, project managers, developers, testers, infrastructure team, executive sponsor, and management to drive towards and achieve agreed-upon milestones and program goals
  • Leads regular interactions with executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuous working relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate program governance functions in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor.
  • Directs the creation and maintenance of required program documentation and artifacts.
  • Develops and controls the program budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
  • Ensures and balances the availability of required skills and competencies across project teams within the program.
  • Leads reviews with executive sponsor and stakeholders to identify specific needs, and addresses them appropriately.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.
  • Acts as an advisor, and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
  • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across projects in the program and resolves conflicts Directs or approves the establishment of framework / guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determines their use across the program.
  • Supports and facilitates agenda setting for program committee / board meetings
  • Drives development of programs road map with customers.
  • Translates customer's vision into an actionable product road map.
Required Skills:
  • Typically requires 10 or more years of IT and business / industry work experience and 5 or more years of experience in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs.
  • Experience with PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), agile and Managing Successful multiple project/program management methodologies such as Programs (MSP).
  • A proven track record of managing successful programs across a range of project types using agile methodologies.
  • Requires a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied enterprise-wide.
  • Requires PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.
