Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our growing team! The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing the semi-monthly payroll and the coordination efforts between Payroll and Human Resources to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data, and financial information related to payroll. Applicants must have a solid working knowledge of payroll processes and related compliance and tax procedures. This role requires an extensive knowledge of multi-state payroll and time reporting for Federal government contracts. Requires close interaction and involvement with project managers, supervisors and employees for tracking and time recording. Duties and Responsibilities Manage semi-monthly payroll process Manage timesheet process, corrections, and audit monitor submission of timesheets to ensure completion and accuracy of approved timesheets as well as missing timesheet reports Manage payroll changes to include special payroll payments allowances, and deductions (garnishments, benefits, etc.) Manage administration of new hires and terminations related to payroll Manage file imports and exports fromto timekeeping, payroll, and accounting systems to ensure accuracy Maintain employee records in the financial system for changes, such as supervisor reporting structures and salary changes, in an accurate and timely manner Work closely with Human Resources regarding inquiries, issues, and procedures effecting payroll and HR Manage and monitor proper state registrations for payroll taxes and timely filing and payment of all federal, state, and local payroll taxes research and resolve any discrepancies Process accurate and timely TPSP and year-end reporting Ensure tax entities are filed appropriately compiling various internal management reports assisting with and supporting various audits and generating payroll reports to include monthly, quarterly, year-end, and ad-hoc reporting Job Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 5-7 years of payroll experience CPP preferred Required KnowledgeExperience Excellent problem solvingjudgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy Analytical skills, including research, ability to interpret data, ability to analyze information Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure Advance knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate with various levels of management Proven knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices, and procedures Strong knowledge in multi-state payroll Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations Our competitive benefits package includes medical and dental coverage, 401k plan with employer contribution, paid holiday, vacation and sick leave, metro-check program, and tuition reimbursement.
