DNV GL - Digital Solution's Pipeline Ecosystem group is seeking a Natural Gas Distribution Support Engineer to join our Customer Excellence team. The Customer Excellence department is responsible for supporting and training clients of our Synergi software around the world. This position may be based out of our Mechanicsburg, PA or Katy (Houston), TX offices.

Tasks May Include
  • Responsible for providing timely and thorough responses to technical inquiries from end-user clients arriving via phone or email
  • Educate users on how to optimize their experience with the software by conducting multi-day classroom training in our offices, online/virtual, or at client sites
  • Develop and record product videos to assist clients with self-help support and e-learning goals
  • Providing natural gas distribution model domain expertise to our product development team through requirements, analysis and manual product testing responsibilities to ensure we release a quality product
  • Liaising/Collaborating with product expert colleagues to resolve complex questions
  • Tracking support calls to conclusion and performing follow-up analysis
  • Update and add Knowledge Articles for internal and client use
  • Develop and maintain client relationships


Position Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required
  • Working knowledge or significant academic experience in: natural gas distribution modeling (hydraulic and/or integrity risk), fluid mechanics or more general pipeline engineering
  • Experience with DNV GL's Synergi Gas or Synergi Pipeline or other hydraulic simulation software or integrity and risk software a plus
  • Python or other scripting tool experience a plus
  • Excellent ability to prioritize work while juggling multiple tasks & client request
  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine desire to help customers solve their software questions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness and ability to travel inside and outside of the United States, up to 25% of the time
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
