The Building Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of semi-skilled manual labor activities and duties related to the maintenance and repair of downtown parking garages and lots, facilities and equipment.
Job Responsibilities100% - Duties include to operate maintenance equipment and vehicles in support of a variety of public works activities including comprehensive facility and mechanical system maintenance; and to perform other maintenance related duties as assigned. This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of assigned buildings and surrounding grounds including parking and landscape areas.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesQualifications - Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at level necessary for successful job performance. Specialized training in construction management, skilled trades, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, automated security and telephone systems or a related area. Four years of increasingly responsible building and grounds maintenance experience. Prefer experience in computer operated environmental systems Must have a valid driver's license. The successful candidate must pass the background check, City physical and drug screen.
