Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of General Manufacturing 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. The Manager will lead a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing mentorship to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy. This is a 3/10 Shift Fri. through Sun.(5:00 am to 3:30pm). Essential Functions:
Providing direction and mentorship to Front line managers and other production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.
Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.
Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
Project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance similar sized technical services-type contract.

Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of experience OR High School Diploma/equivalent with 13 years experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.
5 years of leadership experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals across all organizational levels and provide status briefings to senior leadership as business requires
This position is for 3/10 schedule Friday through Sunday First shift (5:00am-3:330 pm), however, candidates must also be willing to work any of the following schedules as needs business require: Monday - Thursday - 1st shift OR 2nd shift (4:12 pm - 2:42 am)
This position requires an Active DOD Secret Clearance, with investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain/maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to lead through, overcome and adapt to obstacles and challenges
Ability to deal effectively with change and challenges and helps others to do the same
