Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Contracts Manager 2 to join its team of qualified, diverse individuals, supporting its Combat Systems and Mission Readiness Division (CSMR). The successful applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's CSMR Division contracts organization and will have overall contracts management responsibilities for the Communications, Integration & Asset Protection (CIAP) Operating Unit. This position is in McLean, VA, but full time remote work with the ability to travel to the Mclean, VA office may be considered. The Contracts Manager 2 responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Provide strong leadership with ability to counsel, coach, develop and motivate staff of professionals • Ability to effectively work with the management of other organizations (program management, subcontracts, pricing, business management, and supply chain management) as well as representatives of Government agencies. • Provide advice to various levels of leadership regarding the acquisition life cycle, contractual rights, obligations and interpretation of terms and conditions and risk posture • Ability to work with diverse levels of external customers and build customer intimacy • Review and approve contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and ensuring adherence to company policy and therefore a keen attention to detail is essential • Work with management teams within the division and sector to develop innovative solutions for complex processes and issues • Planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals. • Exceptional organizational and presentation skills. • Critical thinking skills, problem solving and risk mitigation proficiency is a must. • High level of overall "Objectivity" and the impact upon strategy beyond proficiency in administration. • Be a role model for diversity and inclusion through seeking out and including diverse opinions and perspectives, has the ability to solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related discipline with 10 years of progressive experience Or Master's degree in business, finance or related discipline with 8 years of experience of which the majority is in Government acquisition management, including knowledge of contracts in the US Government market. • Experience in proposal development, negotiation and administration/management of various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements. • Expert knowledge and experience in US Government Procurement regulations and procedures including FAR, DFARS. • Must have the Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance (Department of Defense)
Preferred Qualifications: • Master degree • Global contractual experience with international pursuits and contract awards • Commercial, State and Local contracting experience • Active US Top Secret Security clearance • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM) Total Rewards Statement: Salary Range Min: $105,600 Salary Range Max: $158,400 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
