The Tactical Fighters Business Unit is seeking a Band 3 Contracts Manager to support the BU Director, Contracts on a variety of Contracts within the F-35 Production Organization Unit (OU) portfolio. Candidates must have a minimum Secret clearance. Manager will report directly to the Director of Contracts for the Tactical Fighters Business Unit in support of several Production programs. Position Summary: As the Contracts Manager of the F-35 Production Organization Unit you will be responsible for all projects assigned to the OU, leading your team in the contract pursuits, administration, negotiation, and closeout of standard and non-standard contracts. Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition in accordance with company policies and procedures, legal requirements, and customer specifications at minimum. Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Directly participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects. Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives, strategy and long-range goals of the organization. Responsibilities will include activities such as: Providing reviews and summaries of program and performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness; helps to prepare bids and other reports for on-time customer submittal; advises program management and upper management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Responsible for leading, managing, and developing a team of professional contract administrators providing guidance based on organizational goals and company policy. Also, leads the team towards program success by providing objective-oriented direction in accordance with management guidelines & overall practices and procedures.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated understanding and experience with FAR and DFARS
Must have capable & effective proposal development skills and excellent negotiation skills
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Ability to brief internal and external customers.
Must have a current Secret Security Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Experience in U.S. Government Department of Defense contract administration & management. International experience a strong plus.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others to include mentoring and developing a team.
Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Salary Range: 130956 - 196434
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
