This is a long term contract assignment with per diem for qualified candidates. Apply Now!location: Jackson, Michiganjob type: Contractsalary: $40 - 55 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:+ Writing procedures for pipeline conditioning (pickling)+ Supporting operations employees with the mobilization and operation of permanent and temporary odorizer equipment+ Project engineering for odorizer facility rebuild projects+ Supporting operations employees with troubleshooting of odorization equipment including Bran Leubbe Pump systems, YZ Odorizers, and Welker/OdorEyes Odorizer.qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, will consider other engineering degrees with relevant experience.+ 3+ years large mechanical project experience in utility or construction+ Experience with planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Gas Transmission and Distribution and facilities and ancillary support process for all utility operations+ Knowledge and/or experience in utility operations+ PE preferred+ Knowledge of planning and permitting as they relate to discipline specific design and construction+ Experience in reviewing designs to assure compliance with engineering design, applicable codes, constructability, industry and CE standardsskills:+ Knowledge of the design, construction, or operation of natural gas facilities including odorizer facilities+ Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects and PowerPoint+ Experience in reviewing designs to assure compliance with engineering design, applicable codes, constructability, industry and CE standards+ Experience in procurement of engineered material, equipment and professional servicesThe following skills may set you apart from others+ Ability to independently evaluate, select & apply engineering theory.+ Ability to solve complex problems; taking new perspectives using existing solutions+ Knowledge and application of utility trends+ Operational and/or engineering experience with natural gas odorization systems+ Experience with natural gas pipeline conditioning (pickling)+ Experience writing operating or outage procedures for odorizer or related facilities\#LI-NP1Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
