About the Role
As a Local Content Specialist, you will serve as a storyteller for DoorDash in a market, working with the Strategy & Operations teams to manage local social media engagement highlighting the incredible stories of the local restaurants operating on the DoorDash platform.
You will need to understand the importance of how food connects people and culture in your market. More so, deep community knowledge is essential to creating narratives across various mediums (social, blogs, etc.) that are specific but connect with a broad audience.
You will work cross-functionally on special projects aimed at elevating merchants and improving customer engagement. The ideal candidate has prior experience in food or travel media across professional print or digital channels. Candidates are expected to abide by DoorDash's branding and media engagement policies. Previous engagement with marketing, advertising, and digital media is preferred.

- Storyteller with 3+ years of digital content creation specializing in written media
- Prior management of corporate social media accounts heavily preferred
- Passion for cuisine and up-to-date on trends in the ever evolving culinary landscape
- Self-motivated and driven, wants to continue developing a career in media
- High energy/self-starter, customer-service oriented
- Reliable and resilient, able to manage relationship with merchants in person, over the phone or through email
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
- Expert written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer proficiency including good knowledge of Microsoft/GSuite applications
- Excellent organizational skills, and an ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
- Associates required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
