Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for an HR Coordinator in Harrisburg, PA. This role is a temp to hire opportunity!

Summary:
The HR Coordinatort is directly responsible for the full-cycle recruitment, employee relations and retention for all union employees and in alignment with Company requirements.

Shifts: 1st Shift - Monday to Friday - 8AM - 5PM

Payrate: $20.00/hr

Essential Functions:
Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates while partnering with managers and supervisors Develop and implement recruiting plans and strategies designed to meet staffing needs Establishes recruiting requirements by analyzing departmental headcount, and Company objectives Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, internet sites, making presentations and maintaining rapport Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing, analyzing responses, verifying references, coordinating pre-employment process (drug screenings, background checks, and E-Verify) Conducts new hire on-boarding including benefit orientation Manage/ensure compliance with Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and update Personnel Activity Log (PAL) Administer and customize training software such as Alchemy for on-boarding Maintains job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations Post all open positions internally and externally (Applicant Pro internet, Fresh Express locations, etc.) Create and maintain recruitment metrics Provide analytical and recruiting reports to upper management Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training Enter new hire information and maintain Workday (HRIS) system Responsible for ensuring compliance with the overall pre-employment I-9, E-Verify, E-Screen and Background Check process Responsible for new-hire retention within the first 90 days of employment Participate in routine walk through of production floor for employee engagement Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bilingual English/Spanish Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point). Workday proficiency a plus Knowledge of Affirmative Action Plans and Employment Law Ability to administer HR processes, policy, and procedures Supports workplace diversity Familiarity with relevant employment laws and Union contracts Professionalism, strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Desired Skills:
Certified Staffing Professional Previous experience working in a union environment Workday, Kronos, or Ceridian experience

Required Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years recruiting experience, preferably in an fast paced manufacturing or distribution environment
