This candidate will oversee the Division's annual budget of $13.5M, and a dedicated staff of 40, as well as grant and contract compliance and management, and be required to help optimize the Division's long-term fiscal position, develop staff, help coordinate (and, when needed, lead) discussions on a regional level, and ensure complete and accurate communication with our members.

This position requires a strong generalist background with a preferred significant depth of budget, financial and administration skills, an aptitude with public meetings and experience working with public agency executives, and expertise in several service or discipline areas within the public sector, such as experience in planning, transportation, economic development, or broadband. This candidate will also be an excellent communicator, politically savvy, and a strategic organizational leader who demonstrates a commitment to working effectively with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, in support of an inclusive and respectful environment.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Planning or Public Administration or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible governmental management providing familiarity with a wide range of public agency services and including supervisory experience in areas and functions which will have provided the requisite program and organizational process knowledge base; an equivalent combination of training, certification, and experience may be substituted. A Master's degree in Public Administration or a related field or ICMA Credentialed Manager is preferred.
