Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Air Vehicle Integration and Assembly Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
The Air Vehicle Integration and Assembly Manager works to increase the focus on clear test requirements development, interface design, testability, and verification. To succeed in this role the ideal candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and willing and able to take on the status quo with respect to business processes and program team roles/responsibilities in a tactful and productive manner. In this position, the Air Vehicle Integration and Assembly Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following focus areas: System Architecture:
Help lead the design and development of requirements verification decisions within the system architecture in coordination with systems engineering and IPTs Design Change Impact Assessment:
Ensure that design changes in hardware and software are compatible with existing components and subsystems, particularly for efforts requiring the support of more than one engineering discipline
Multi-disciplinary Interface Management:
Develop comprehensive design and interface requirements and lead the verification effort, ensuring cross-functional communication Requirements-based Testing:
Ensure program master test plans, integration concepts and integration flows developed by the Integrated Operations Team are constructed in a Test Like You Fly manner and verified First Flight Item and TLYF Management:
Effectively utilize Systems Engineering products such as First Flight/Reuse and TLYF Assessments early in the system architecture and design phase to identify and mitigate risks Data Review Management:
Lead the process and review products for formal data review
Hold the engineering teams accountable for objective, efficient and timely review of test data Employee Management:
Provide OJT training and mentoring of system integration, assembly, test and checkout engineers Risk Management:
Facilitate risk management process and review board in coordination with the AVE Integration and Test Lead
RTCL Management:
Facilitate successful planning and execution of real-time hardware and software in the loop testing in coordination with product IPTs. May be required to travel up to 25% of the time

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in STEM discipline and 10 years of experience, Master's degree and 8 years of experience, or 6 years of experience with a PhD supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
3 years of previous management experience.
6 years of experience with system integration and test principles and test plan development at any level of build (unit, element, segment, etc.)
Active DoD Secret clearance with latest investigation completed within the last 6 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
Model Based System Engineering - Test planning and verification in MBSE, knowledge in CAMEO software
Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Integration and/or test experience assembling launch vehicles for commercial, government or ICBM applications.
