The Information Technology Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for an Enterprise Applications Engineer in either the Florida Tallahassee Operations Center or the Washington, DC office. The Enterprise Application Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the Firm's enterprise applications. The Enterprise Applications Engineer must be an enthusiastic problem solver, attentive to detail, and have sense of urgency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining the firm's enterprise applications.
Coordinating configuration changes, upgrades, and patches to the systems with business units and other IT support teams to minimize users' impact.
Developing and maintaining appropriate monitoring, maintenance, and support processes in order to provide business applications that are highly available and high performing.
Documenting internal application systems, including configurations, processes, system policies, and disaster recovery.
Performing day-to-day support functions and resolving system issues escalated through a support ticketing system (ServiceNow, etc.).
Responsible for communication, coordination and back up of other members of the Information Technology Department as required to service the Firm and its clients.
Must have excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills with a minimum of five (5) years of proven success implementing and supporting enterprise-level business applications.
Minimum of five years of customer support experience supporting a diverse customer base including C-level executives.
Experience with Document Management Systems (iManage Work 10, iManage FileSite, netDocument, OpenText e-Docs, Documentum, etc.).
Experience with legal applications (iManage Records Manager, LegalKey, IntApp etc.).
Experience with various business applications (NQueue, Accellion Kiteworks, eFax, EMS, Interaction, etc.).
Experience in supporting applications in a virtual desktop (Citrix XenApp) and server (VMWare ESXi) environment.
Solid understanding of Windows server and business operating systems (Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS Server).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint Online, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, Powershell Scripting, Microsoft T-SQL
Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies including: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall ports, etc. is required.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 Suite and/or related software.
Four year college degree required, equivalent experience will be considered.
iManage WorkSite Certification (ICSE) is highly preferred.
Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, SQL Certifications (MCTS, MCITP, MCSE) is a plus.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Ability to identify the appropriate method of communication.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to analyze technical problems to insure proper resolution.
Ability to identify practical solutions to complex problems which may require the introduction of new technology, refinements to existing technology solutions or manual processes.
Must be able to manage multiple demands simultaneously by addressing priorities to insure all deadlines are met.
Prior working information technology experience in a legal or professional service organization is desired, but not required.
