AECOM is seeking an Energy Engineering Intern. This position can be located in any US where AECOM has a presence or conducts work.
This position is expected to begin October 2020.

AECOMs Energy business line provides a wide range of services from consulting and engineering design to engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy clients. As a fully accredited Energy Services Company (ESCO), we connect knowledge and experience across our global technical network to solve energys most complex challenges. Our teams integrated framework brings together a unique combination of engineers, planners, scientists, and project managers to enhance electrical system infrastructure, reduce energy use, and generate energy on-site from traditional and renewable sources.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Learn project objectives and process from AECOM project engineer.
Develop understanding of whats referred to as the buildings HVAC system.
Develop understanding of difference between an optimization project and retrofit project.
Join AECOM project engineer during college site visits; observe work process; maintain project journal.
Be part of e-mail communication loop between AECOM project engineer and other project stakeholders to be connected to project process, questions, key issues.
At project engineers discretion and subject to skills, be assigned discrete project support tasks (written, computational).
Review project draft deliverables with project engineer; be able to explain meaning and content of project deliverables.
Respond to project engineer written test about project objectives, process, results.
Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associates Degree in Building Automation Technicians.
Must have completed two years of study in the applicable program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
