The Morgan Stanley Private Credit Platform ("MSPC") is the primary private credit platform at Morgan Stanley. MSPC sits within MSIM and has a proven long-term track record of investing in private credit. We primarily invests in directly originated middle market loans and invests throughout the capital structure across a wide range of industry sectors. Our investment teams bring significant expertise in structuring complex financial transactions and commitment to partnership with world class management teams. MSPC has over $7.5b investable capital dedicated to private credit across three strategies and 30+ investment professionals with offices in NY, CHI, and LA.
The three dedicated private credit strategies are:
Middle Market Sponsor finance - with approximately $5b of investable capital. Strategy is executed through two business development companies (BDCs) and one private fund
Lower Middle Market finance - with approximately $1b of investable capital. Strategy is executed through a private fund complex with 5 investment vehicles.
Credit Opps/ Junior Capital - with approximately $2b of investable capital. Strategy is executed through 2 private funds
Role Description :
The role will be a newly created position support the middle market sponsor finance Chief Operating Officer. The individual will interact with all team members, including CFO and investment professionals. The individual will have responsibilities for a broad range of activities relating to administration of the funds within the middle market sponsor finance strategy including, but not limited to:
Oversee BDCs corporate governance
Work closely with fund administrator, team members and external counsel to develop agenda and meeting materials for quarterly Board meetings coordination
Work with proxy solicitor and fund administrator to coordinate annual proxy process and proxy filings
Coordinate annual shareholder meeting
Responsible for various filings, such as beneficial ownership, fidelity bond etc.
Involved in review of transactions for compliance with 1940 Act and ERISA
Review of investment eligibility under the 1940 Act and ERISA rules
Coordinate with allocation committee and board of directors to obtain necessary approvals
Investor and Shareholder Support
Assist in the production and review of marketing materials and due diligence questionnaires
Spearhead the process of onboarding registered independent advisors and various wealth management platforms for BDCs
Liaise with MSIM's investor onboarding team for fund closes
Assist in MSPC platform governance
Assist in team's compliance of various MSIM and MS policies
Work with broader MSIM's teams to update policies as needed
Assist with new product launches as needed

510 years of relevant experience in private credit/direct lending and BDCs
Strong problem solving skills and ability to interact directly with investment professionals
