Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals to support our Weapons systems Division. This position will be located with our team at Rocket Center, West Virginia, just outside of Cumberland, Maryland.Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary interface with customers for contractual issues
Supports the internal program teams on all contract related-matters
Facilitates internal review of contractual terms and conditions and negotiates those terms with the customer
Coordinates with the Law Department on new or unusual terms and/or agreements to ensure protection of company interests
Leads a team in establishing negotiation strategies, negotiating new contracts, and identifying and negotiating contract changes
Releases internal authorization to proceed, facilitates contract review of new awards and mods, supports project set-up based on funding received, and coordinates and manages all contractual direction and communication with customers
Advises internal teams on markings requirements and assists in crafting appropriate agreements/terms to protect company intellectual property
Monitors contract requirements and associated program funding and deliverables to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated, understood, and followed
Ensures compliance with company procedures and government regulations
Administers, negotiates, and performs closeout of contracts
Maintains an open and healthy relationship with the customer
This position may be filled as a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator.Basic Qualifications for Contract Administrator:
Must have one of the following:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of Contract Administration or related experience
Associate's degree with a minimum of 5 years of Contract Administration or related experience
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of Contract Administration or related experience
Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of Contract Administration or related experience
The ability to work on-site at Rocket Center in West Virginia
The ability to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator:
Must have one of the following:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of Contract Administration or related experience
Associate's degree with a minimum of 8 years of Contract Administration or related experience
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of Contract Administration or related experience
Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of Contract Administration or related experience
The ability to work on-site at Rocket Center in West Virginia
The ability to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
General understanding of business, accounting, and financial systems
Experience in the preparation of proposals
Knowledge of government procurement regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations)
Preferred Qualifications:
An advanced degree in a relevant field (JD, MBA, etc.)
A minimum of 5 years of Contract Administrator experience or relatable experience
Current active DoD Secret security clearance
Certificate in Contracts Management and/or NCMA certification
Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry
Experience in managing complex government contracts
Proficiency and experience supporting sole source and competitive acquisitions
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Experience with multiple contract types

Salary Range: 58292 - 87438
Salary Range 2: 72200 - 108300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
