About the Opportunity DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST to support our client in Maryland. Responsibilities Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards and for progress in accordance with schedules. Must be able to coordinate with the ProgramProject Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major process and installation design changes. Prepares milestone status reports and deliveriespresentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives. Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff. The recurring activities are bull Daily collaboration with OSCNP, the Technical PM, and the OM Vendor to define, document, and improve business processes at the Department to improve staff efficiency and effectiveness, improve compliance and reporting, and to provide a better experience for the OSCNP's customers bull Attend daily program standup, sprint review, program increment, and other meetings as defined by the Team Meeting Plan bull Provide routine progress reporting of the BA's work through the delivery of weekly status reports bull Attending USDA conferences with MSDE staff (generally every other year) bull Provide a Weekly Summary Report identifying the previous week's accomplishments and upcoming weeks planned activities. bull Analyze and identify gaps in Data Reporting and Business Intelligence tools Qualifications Education A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred. Required SkillsCertifications The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience working as a business analyst within the last 10 years analyzing existing business processes and software systems and facilitating the integration of business processes into internet and intranets. Experience working independently or under general direction on complex application problems involving all phases of systems analysis. Demonstrated experience working with Federal performance grants and programs Experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, Project. Specialized Experience At least five (5) years of experience in analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or mid-tier computer systems, or LAN-based systems, to include experience in Database Management Systems (DBMS), and use of programming languages. Knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods and demonstrated ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, and debugging of computer programs Preferred Experience bull Demonstrated knowledge of software requirements elicitation, documentation, and management. bull Experience analyzing financial management systems and lifecycle processes from budgeting to payments. bull Making recommendations for improvements to process, technology, and tools bull Demonstrated experience working with Federal performance grants and programs bull Experience incorporating Business intelligence tools, into management processes and web based systems bull Prior senior level experience preparing business cases or other type of requests for software development. bull Prior senior level experience writing project deliverables such as a functional requirements document or a requirements traceability matrix. bull Demonstrated knowledge of business process workflow automation. bull Demonstrated knowledge of performing gap analyses. bull Prior experience planning and conducting IT software quality assurance testing including writing test cases. bull Prior experience preparing and delivering informative, well-organized presentations. bull Excellent verbal and written communication skills. bull Breadth of knowledge in the Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
