Commercial Roofer | Service & Maintenance
The Service Technician assists the Service Project Supervisor in performing a variety of roofing services including, but not limited to, leak calls, maintenance, repairs, tenant improvements, and small projects. These roofing services will be performed on a wide variety of roofing systems including BUR, cold and torch-applied assemblies, coatings, EPDM, foam, metal, single-ply and tile, both flat and sloped. Service work can vary in size from general housekeeping, to minor repairs, to reroofs and new construction installations up to 2,500 square feet.
This position requires extensive customer service and demands customer satisfaction. This position requires a lot of driving and or travel. At times you will be required to go out of town overnight to service customer's needs. The Service Technician's duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assist Service Project Supervisor with Job Hazard Analyses, daily documentation, and in the procurement and accountability for materials and equipment required for work orders.
Perform pre-job roof inspections and assist in staging roof areas with all other equipment and required materials.
Assist in roof clean up, maintenance, and/or repair scope as directed by Service Project Supervisor.
Inspects safety equipment daily and ensures all company equipment is in safe working condition.
Shares in the driving, and required documentation of all driving to meet DOT requirements.
- Roofing field experience, formal education, or a combination of these desired.
- High school education or GED required.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and other job-related responsibilities; OSHA 10-Hour certification a plus.
- Current, valid driver's license required.
- Must be capable of the strenuous activity required to tear off, carry, and dispose of roofing material.
