C-17 DEA PGM - Product Review EngineerCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:Date Posted:2021-08-20-07:00Location:USA - Warner Robins, GAJob Description Qualifications:Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an experienced C-17 Engineer (Level 3) to support our C-17 Delegation Of Engineering (DEA) program. Perform and represent Boeing C-17 engineering as an integral part of a multi-disciplined and globally located team to satisfy C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program contract requirements.Position Responsibilities Duties will include (but are not limited to):Provide support to the C-17 DEA Program Chief Engineer, DEA Lead Engineer, and DEA engineer/cognizant engineers across the program in the development, submittal, conduct, and sustainment of the DEA program and our Program Execution Plan;Provide direct engagement with DEA/Cognizant engineers across the program to ensure DEA certifications, development, and recurrent proficiency assessment requirements are understood and progressing to plan (support execution as required);Develop, Support, and present (as required) at the yearly USAF/FMS DEA Airworthiness Assessment. Content includes DEA enabled engineering material (people, processes, products and performance) provided to assure compliance and retention of our DEA empowerment;Provide direct engagement/support to DEA engineers across all sustainment environments to ensure DEA processes and procedures are understood and properly adhered to;Apply engineering principles, processes, and experience to research technical issues addressed across the Operational, Depot, Repair & Overhaul, and Build environments in an effort to: 1) identify, trend and support efforts to mitigate repeat/recurrent engineering dispositions; 2) Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA); and 3) Define and drive process improvements for team/customer awareness, efficiency and responsiveness. Use teamwork/networking to identify innovative approaches and unique applications to coordinate and/or support the resolution of complex nonconforming conditions;Requires frequent interaction with USAF SPO and Action Military personnel (all levels)Travel to C-17 Operational base and Depot locations may be requiredThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):Bachelor's of Science degree or higher in Engineering;Previous Aircraft/Large Platform Structural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical design, repair design, inspection (NDI and/or other methods), and systems operational Check/Testing experience;Previous Material Review Authority (MRA/MRB), Delegated Engineering Authority (DEA), Design Authority Engineer (DAE), or equivalent engineering based authority/certification (FAA AR and/or DER) credentials; including a working knowledge of criteria, credentials and processes employed to achieve and retain certification; Ability and desire to obtain and retain C-17 DEA authority with multiple skill areas; 4+ yrs Experience with repairing and troubleshooting aircraft structural/composite, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, environmental, and avionics systemsAbility to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary to meet business needsAbility to travel in support of engineering personnel/sites located across the US or in a support capacity for aircraft emergent issues.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):C-17 Design, Repair design, Inspection (including NDI & others methods), and system/structural Testing/Operational checksExperience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc. for development of structural repairs4+ years of Military aircraft sustainment and support in a technical service/support role;Familiar with USAF processes, regulations and protocolWorking knowledge of USAF AutoTAR (202) data systemTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Masters+4 years' related work, 10 years related work experience).Relocation:This position is located in the new Boeing facility, Warner Robins GA.
