Our client located in downtown Tucson, is looking for a Business Development Manager ASAP. The Business Development Manager oversees all aspects of sales and marketing for the law firm. Works closely with Leadership Team to understand important messaging and works to promote that message to existing and potential new clients through digital, social, and paper media. Supports Client Services Representative and Front Desk Representative to ensure that all incoming leads and PNCs are properly engaged and cared for. Manages the firm's CRM, Clio Grow, to ensure that potential new clients are being timely and properly provided with representation agreements and other necessary information. Analyzes sales data and systems to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements.
SALES Develop a strong understanding of the kinds of cases for which potential new clients require assistance, and the kinds of services our law firm provides. Develop and maintain proficiency in all of the information systems and databases, both internal and external, that must be used to properly perform the duties of this position. These include, but are not limited to, Clio, LMS, PACER, Arizona state criminal databases, ICE and EOIR information systems, and Lexicata.

MAINTAINING HEALTHY CLIENT FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS At the direction of the Firm Administrator, and with input from the attorneys, communicate with clients who must pay accounts receivable balances, make additional payments, or modify the terms of their payment plan to promote overall profitability
MARKETING Digital and social media marketing management: work closely with the managing partner and assist with the creation of content, and post on the law firm's website, social media channels, and email marketing platforms. Community engagement on social media to drive leads to the law firm
Manage the firm's website to timely and accurately post announcements, including case results, and any personnel changes, and any open positions that the firm is recruiting for. Manage all of the firm's sales and technology platforms as they are related to sales and marketing (e.g., Avvo, Google, Arrivala, Yelp, Mailchimp, Superlawyers, etc.)
Referral management: Maintain a log of referral sources and ensure that they are appropriately recognized and thanked (as instructed by the Leadership Team) for each referral, during the holidays, and periodically as part of marketing campaigns. Research and propose marketing campaigns. Work with the Managing Partner and the Firm Administrator to develop and manage an annual marketing budget. Prepares and manages media and public relations activities communications for the firm (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside agencies), including press releases, new attorney announcements and notices, other firm announcements, and media materials. Designs (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside vendors to design) print and online advertising and negotiates media buys and associated contracts (e.g., Google Ad Words, Facebook Ads). Designs (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside vendors to design), updates, and maintains online and print marketing and business development materials for the firm and for attorneys, including firm and attorney profiles, practice descriptions, brochures, and electronic newsletters. Also oversees mailing list creation and updates. Designs and conducts - or arranges for the design and implementation of - client satisfaction surveys and market research. Upon approval from the Leadership Team, plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns. Plan and manage marketing events and attorney public speaking engagements.

Job Requirements:
Education: College degree, or equivalent, required. Concentration in marketing, business, and/or communications strongly preferred.
Experience: At least two years in marketing manager/director (or assistant director) role within a professional services environment (law firm experience preferred). Has a proven record of strong leadership and consensus building skills; marketing management and strategic planning experience; and successful development and administration of a marketing program.
Required Skills: Must demonstrate initiative, be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects while prioritizing work assignments, and able to work well with attorneys and staff at all levels in the organization. Must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and website content management systems (e.g. WordPress). Familiar with SEO and Google Analytics including ability to set goals, interpret metrics, and implement projects that will improve online performance and visibility. Excellent writing skills and the ability to understand the attorney-client relationship are critical. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to write effectively for public relations and other purposes for audiences inside and outside the firm and to prepare written materials to support and to follow-up marketing opportunities for the firm and for individual attorneys. Ability to evaluate opportunities for business development and manage a budget.
